10 basic kitchen utensils
We love cooking and it is our passion and also our place to create and make art, it is indispensable - as chefs - to have the necessary kitchen utensils to prepare our dishes properly.
Each of these utensils has a special function, so having the necessary tool will help you achieve your goals every time you want to cook and create.
Here is a list of the 10 basic utensils you need in your kitchen:
Pots and Pans: Pots are necessary to cook, boil and mix soups, vegetables, stir-fries and other dishes and meals. The frying pans are necessary for frying, boiling and cooking a wide variety of foods. The iron pans are a great alternative to aluminum and copper because they distribute the heat more evenly and are resistant to the oven. The glass molds are great for making stews and other dishes.
Spatulas and mixing spoons: They can be made of metal, plastic or wood, the joke is that they do not scratch where you use them and they are essential to turn and mold.
Knives: Basic, super basic and remember that they always have to be sharp because a dull knife increases the chance that you get to cut yourself apart from not fulfilling its purpose. A chef's knife has to have a blade of 8 to 12 inches and is good for cutting any type of food.
Can opener: Many ingredients can come canned.
Cutting board: Basic to cut ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, proteins.
Tapas and measuring spoons: Indispensable for a chef because all recipes require precise measurements.
Mixing bowls: Indispensable to mix sauces, vegetables, doughs and other foods. Select your bowls of at least three different sizes.
Strainer: Used to drain pasta especially.
Grater: It is necessary to grate and slice cheese, vegetables, fruits, and spices. A four-sided grater will have edges that allow you to regulate how thick or thin you want your slices to be.
Support for pots and glove for the oven: Necessary to prevent burns when handling pots, pans, and hot dishes, also provide insulation for heat.
